Visual Art Conservatory Overview
At the K.B. Polk Visual Arts Conservatory, we offer an immersive educational program focused on studio arts. Our curriculum encompasses a comprehensive range of disciplines, including drawing, 2D design, 3D design, painting, printmaking, sculpture, graphic arts, and sequential art/illustration.
Our goal is to equip students with a deep understanding of artistic concepts spanning history, techniques, design principles, various creative processes, and a diverse array of mediums. Through hands-on experience and execution of their artistic projects, students develop the skills necessary to articulate their artistic vision and mastery of their chosen mediums.

More About Ms. Angie Ovalle
I was born and raised in Dallas, TX. I graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art Education and a minor in Glass. Art has been my passion since I was young, and I’m so excited to share it with my students!
I love working with glass, from kiln formed pieces to glassblowing, and enjoy experimenting with colors, textures, and light. Out of the studio, I enjoy photography, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
I’ve worked with students from kindergarten to high school, exploring drawing, painting, sculpture, glass art, and more. I believe art is a powerful way to express yourself, tell your story, and connect with others. Student should have opportunities to create projects that let their creativity shine.
I absolutely love the color PINK! You’ll see it show up in my art, classroom, and probably outfits too!
